The international prayer movement of Thy Kingdom Come, from Ascension Day to Pentecost, with the coming of the Holy Spirit, runs from 21-31st May 2020. We need this more than ever this year, and this new decade! So, even while we can’t meet in person, Christians in Herefordshire are all partnering together in 24/7 prayer from home.

Coronavirus is spreading fear, panic and dread. So let’s fight back this fear with the most powerful weapon we have: prayer. Let us give all our deepest fears and nightmares into the hands of God, who hears our prayer and offers us peace that transcends all understanding. Let’s fight this terror and pestilence with prayer!

“The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:5b-7)

Let’s cover every day of this pandemic in prayer: choose an hour slot to pray from home, together with brothers and sisters across the county – and feel free to sign up from all over the world world. You can use this however you want: in silence, in Bible reading or listening, in music, in art – however you best engage with God in prayer! Feel free to add to a slot that some people have already signed up for – the more the better!
