“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd,
he had compassion on them and healed those who were ill.”

(Matthew 14:14)

Thought for the day:

Hearing of the gruesome murder of his dear cousin, Jesus escaped to a quiet spot to process the pain… or not. Crowds found him. Relentless pressure – reminding me of NHS and Care workers. Jesus knew what each person needed, and gave it. He still does today.

Today’s prayer:

Loving Living God, thank you for Jesus showing your healing compassion perfectly. And thank you for those in Hereford working to bring healing in body, mind and spirit.

Today please give wisdom to administrators, compassion to carers, patient persistence needed in every skill – and a little laughter to lighten loads.

And thank you. Amen.
