In Ethiopia and around the world, people living in poverty are on the frontline of another crisis – the climate crisis. As the burden of prolonged drought becomes unbearable, aid agencies are working with communities to alleviate their plight, sometimes building ponds which give them a source of their own water so that the villagers do not have to walk miles each day to fetch it. Many churches in Herefordshire support the work of Christian Aid in their work in Ethiopia.
Lord to those who are hungry give bread, and to those who have bread a hunger for justice.
